Hello! My names Brittany, I am 16 years old and working toward a career in acting. Since the age of three I've been working on several different talents from dancing, to modeling, to acting, and singing. I audition for local plays and high school productions along with local casting calls to be extras in movies. Am I on the right track to becoming a successful actress? Is an agent required in order to discover "big break" roles?

Most definitely YES!! You
Most definitely YES!! You do need an agent to help you find the right auditions for roles that can get you noticed.
re: on the right track
Hi Brittany, sounds like you are doing a lot of good things (honing a variety of skills, continuing your education, taking acting classes). Is there local representation at these casting calls? I would suggest looking for one that is willing to represent you on a NON-exclusive basis. Keep doing what you're doing, and when you're finished with college you'll be ready for your "big break"!
