QuickView Headshot Envelopes FAQ
My cover
letter paper does not fit in the Quick View envelope, what do I do?
QuickView Envelopes are the size of headshots, so just like your resume
paper, you can't use standard 8 1/2 X 11 sheets (agents and casting
directors don't like larger sized headshots because they can't be easily
filed). You have three options.
1. Use our pre-cut resume paper.
It's high quality, professional looking, and the perfect size for your
resume and cover lettter.
2. Use a post-it note in place of a cover letter.
3. Fold your cover letter.
How can I
save on postage when I use QuickView Headshot Envelopes?
Mailing a QuickView under an ounce is $.49 rather than $.61 for a large
envelope, a savings of $.12 per envelope. That is a savings of over
$12.00 per 100 mailings.
An ounce is generally a headshot, cover letter, and resume. We suggest
printing a few resumes directly onto your headshot. It looks sharp and
professional. Staples become heavy so use them sparingly. Leave the
cardboard on the trees, nobody wants stacks of cardboard in their office.
How long does it
take to receive my order?
We have many different shipping options you can choose when you check
out. All orders placed by noon will ship that day. Overnight and international
shipping is available.
What is the exact size of a Quick View mailer?
The outside dimensions are 8.25" x 10.25" with a one-inch
border that is enough to cover and protect your name while showing your
full picture. The window dimensions are 6.25" x 8.25 and it is
a clear glassine plastic similar to those found on smaller envelopes
such as your phone bill. You can address the back of the envelope just
as you would normal mail. The envelopes are sealed with regular wet
and stick gum on the flap that opens book style. If you don’t
want to seal the whole envelope we suggest at least sealing the middle
portion with tape.
Is it safe to send my headshot
in a Quick View mailer?
The only person who will see your face with these envelopes who wouldn't
otherwise is your postal service worker. This person has probably already
seen you, so your privacy is not greatly diminished. Also, the window
positioned in such a way so that your name will not be visible until
the headshot is opened.
Any successful actor will have to deal with being in the public eye,
so if privacy is of great concern, acting is probably not the best career
choice.
Of course, you can always use a PO box as the return address on your
envelope.
Where do I place my
mailing label?
The mailing label and postage go on the paper side of the envelope,
not on the clear plastic side.
