Hi, i am new to acting too. I live in skopje,macedonia. I am in the drama class in my school and i have a nice role in the play we are preparing right now. In my first year in high school i went to an audition for the drama class. I had so much stage fright and i was so shy that i could barely move. Somehow i made it through the audition. Since that year i never attended drama class until now(this is my last year in high school). This year i decided to try again,so i went to the audition and surprisingly i didn't have stage fright at all. I was moving around the stage and speaking my lines confidently. Actually i was one of the best at the audition. So my advice to you is when you are performing anything DO NOT think whether you'll say the lines in the correct order or will you look stupid. Pretend that no one is watching you,pretend that you are alone in your room. Pretend that no one exists, the audience, the teacher,the director,no one. Even you don't. Just your character. Forget the world,forget what will the others think. When you are on the stage all that matters is the world of the play so make it real. When you are on the stage whether you have the main role or a smaller one do not act the play,try to live it(not to much it could be bad for your real life,forget of yourself and live your character just when you are on the stage,when you're not stay real). And of course remember if sometimes you fail... it's not bid deal after all it is just part of everyone's life right?
