Child acting experience: plus or minus?

Do you find that people who haven't been involved with the arts since their childhood are less or more successful? I understand that it completely depends on the person, but in general, is more ambition better?
I really think ambition is
I really think ambition is the biggest thing. People who have been involved since their childhood may or may not be better off than people who started later on. I didn't start until my junior year of high school. I got the main role in a school play 6 months after I started acting. Not that it was Broadway or anything, but I did whatever it took to memorize every line and give the best performance possible. I would I recommend practicing, reading articles and books about acting, and keep pushing. I believe anything is achievable.
Starting Early
People who have been in the arts since babies can't really be compared to people who havent. People who have done it since babies, have had experience since babies, and they have had the ability to do anything just because they've been in it since babies. We act everyday! Walking and talking to others, acting different being around certain people because you want to fit in is acting. If you can change your attitude from one thing to another in a 5 min period.. you can act. You just have to know what to do with your acting skills and you have to know what kind of skills to use when. If acting is really for you.. You will think about it all the time and it will be hard to get it out of your mind.

General Analogy
In general, we're acting everyday. I think this is what you meant "Do (we) find ...... less or more successful?" And yes, we do. It only depends on what kind of actor that you or someone else wanted to be. You learn youself as a actor who interact with everyone else.
This is what I really think about child acting.
If you have the acting talent. You will achieve.
The god things about child acting is that there is a chance of meeting producer or director or somebody. You see I didn't say a great chance, I said a chance. so be prepared.
Starting an acting career young
2 of my friends where in the west end recently Lydia Bannister played Jane Banks in mary poppins and Lucy Brushett performed in Le Miz. I would love to be in the west end as it is such an experience and i am devoted to acting.
