Time to make your own opportunity. A professor who worked on Broadway, Soaps, and Film and teaches at ASU once said to me that because this is not a linear job ( do a-z and you get the big prize) learning as much as you can makes you more appealing. Then you can create your own door of opportunity and step thru!Stop waiting around. Isn't there something you have watched or witnessed and thought I could have created that concept or hey who took my idea?

What is happening nowadays? Fellow actors walk into auditions with chips on their shoulders and competitiveness in their hearts. Let me tell you it is not a pretty look. Yes you get calls at the last minute, wrong directions, and non actors running the show but guess what...it is the nature of the beast. No one owes you anything and believe me casting directors do not want to be reassured your home life is peachy and you had breakfast today. Take a deep breath, walk in expecting a "no" and think this audition is good practice. Why?
