Last week a friend of mine was called for an audition apperntly by the Waner bros movie house to shoot a movie.
The ood part was that almost all international movies esp one like waner bros goes through the Kenya Film commission. On arriving to the audition, they asked to pay 1000 KES fee for applying and the address they gave for thier offices didn;t exist.
If it was, as most likly a scam, they had 47 people audition. Kenya has a pretty small film industry and word gets round about auditions, meaning its rare to go to an audition and not even recogonize at least one person.

The other day i was shooting this script and it was really funny cause i had to stand really close to this guy and it shouldn't be funny but i couldn't help laughing and the more i laughed the more laughed the more i laughed. Yea, the director wasn't to jazzed about it and we had to control ourselves but watching it all over again in the editing room was a hoot.

Does this only happen to me? When you go for an audition and they give you a script then you have this "Brilliant" performance in your head but when you do get your chance, it just doesn't come out right or the way you'd hoped or you freeze?
I get that sometimes does any one have any tips or suggestions?

The other day i sat down and asked myself why i love to act? Was it the fans you get? the way people recognize you on the streets? Was it the big dream of being a celebrity and earning millions? Was it worth sitting under the heat of those killer lights all day. The disspaonintemnt you feel when you lose an audition or the joy of getting a job. The bad reviews and the good reviews you read about in the paper.Was it the thrill of being able to convince people that you were someone else?

Hey guyz, the audtion i went to and complained about the wrong directions and lateness, well i got the job and am starting next week.
Apparently, they thought i would be perfect it.
Soooo, if you have a valid reason to air your views in a proffessiona nad courtesy manner then you never know you might win you might lose but what matters is wheather you regetted it or not.
If you will then learn to swallow your annoyance and go on with it.
If not then life goes on, a new day another audition.

Hey guys for a while i've been trying to find local acting workshops and couldn't get none so i decided to organize one. Am really excited about this cause i could really do with a bit of trainig.
For the best part about acting is that there is so much creativty, so much to learn and it changes and improves every minute.

Wow, okay, so today i went for this interview and got fustrated i couldn't believe the level of disorganization.

For the past two years i have been working in the local film industry doingg internships, attending work shops, i have worked as a script writer in a few productions, acted both on stage and on screen but am kind of tired of the local scene, i feel like i wanted to do much more......anyone feel the same???

Am i the only one who finds it realllllly annoying when..... senario, You're coming out of the theater, just watched a good action movie like the dark night. Then you say something like that was a great movie and some one goes like " I didn't like it much cuase it was so unreal" Okay so if you want to watch something realist why not a reality show??? or hey how about a documentary.......but why why why go and watch an ACTION movie then say its unreal......hello!!! or a fansy movie and claim the movie makers were lying to you!!!
