Actors who whine
What is happening nowadays? Fellow actors walk into auditions with chips on their shoulders and competitiveness in their hearts. Let me tell you it is not a pretty look. Yes you get calls at the last minute, wrong directions, and non actors running the show but guess what...it is the nature of the beast. No one owes you anything and believe me casting directors do not want to be reassured your home life is peachy and you had breakfast today. Take a deep breath, walk in expecting a "no" and think this audition is good practice. Why? Because you will finally be yourself and the end result will be some of the best acting you have done while coming across as a real person not a performer. Please stop whining, when I get a phone call at the last minute(hello someone called you by the way), I jump for joy because it is another "no," closer to a "yes." Sounds corny I know but attitude will get you far in this business. You don't have to be a push over but don't be a jack*** and expect the perfect audition to be handed to you. Stay creative- AV
